News & Innovations

Only those who protect the human and nature today, can still offer tea in the best quality tomorrow. That is why we are committed to the entire value chain of our teas. We are committed to a sustainable approach to nature and equally to the fair treatment of people in the countries of origin of the tea.

Because we are convinced that sustainable action returns for you and for our products.

By 2020, we have set ourselves ambitious goals that will spur us on consistently pursuing the path we have embarked on, constantly improving ourselves and facing up to social, ecological and economic challenges. This means:

  • 100% sustainably sourced tea

  • 100% packaging made from recycled material or sustainably grown wood

  • Reduction of CO2 emissions to 10,000 tons

In the first step, we switched many Meßmer varieties to 30% sustainable raw material in early 2015. In May 2017, we significantly increased our stake to 50%.
