Łutówka sour cherry
One of the best known and most widespread types of sour cherry is the Polish Łutówka, which is also considered the most suitable variety for further processing. The fruits are large and dark with dark red juice. The flesh is medium firm and sour. They are therefore perfect as a dried variety for muesli, in high-quality mixes and for use in baked goods, where their dark red color makes them an eye-catcher.
Sour cherries are among the fruits with the highest levels of antioxidants. Cherries also contain numerous minerals and vitamins.
The dried and sweetened sour cherries come from Poland. With 15% of global sour cherry production, Poland is the world's third largest source of sour cherries and the EU's most important sour cherry producer. Our sour cherries are dried and processed directly on site in a gentle process.
